Welcome to Northumberland Music Studio. We are a fully digital recording facility located in Trent Hills, a peaceful rural area, between Peterborough and Belleville Ontario.
Owned by resident sound engineer, arranger, producer and musician Andy Thompson, the studio has everything you could want from a recording venue: A large main room, 3 isolation booths with clear sightlines, a wide selection of microphones and gear, 7 individual monitor mixing stations, a relaxing lounge with direct outdoor access, 2 grand pianos (one new and one vintage), an a small kitchenette for those long sessions.
Opened in 1985, the studio offers a relaxed environment with all amenities close at hand, in a rural sense at least. We offer a full range of services and if you look to our list of past clients you will see our facility has been used by major label artists to emerging ones
Studio rates are reasonable, and can be negotiated on an hourly or daily basis depending on the size of the recording project. We also have a solid core of session musicians or vocalists which we can contact if required, for most recording projects.
If you require arrangements and charts for your recording, this is also a service we are able to provide.
